Thanks, great idea! I’d imagine this would be a huge time-saver if you do a lot of scheduling of meetings. We will look into it and figure out how we could do this nicely.

I have a service based business so I got out on a sales demo, then recurring appontments, Appt 1, 2, 3 and so on. I would like rapportive to show a list of all appointments with that individual from most current back, or a list of the most current 5 then option to show more... So next time they contact me via email, I can see when our last few appointments were, and if possible click on the appointment and it would be linked to that calendar event to open to see more detail...

Could you suggest how you would like this to work? We don’t want to run the risk of being confusing – if we show our sidebar, which is basically a contact record, next to the existing Google contact record, it would look a bit weird, especially if the data we have isn’t the same as what you’ve got in your address book.
What would you find most useful to augment Google Contacts? Or is the main benefit that you’d be able to search directly for a contact (as Michelle describes) rather than having to first find an email from them?

We are planning to support this in some form. Would be great to hear more about how you’d like this to work. Who would you like to share your notes with? Are there any systems you use for this currently, and what do you like and dislike about them?
An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Toy commentedeither choose a login you can share all notes with, or if you have a group in your contacts that you only share notes from that group, for example a WORK contacts group and PERSONAL contacts group. I can allow notes from my WORK group to be shared but not my personal...
An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Toy commentedwhat i would like is if you are a google apps user, everyone in the domain can view notes you put under a contact, making integration between all users in a company and view customers notes across the company...

Hey folks, we’re nearly done on this. When we’re ready, we’ll release a small beta test to everybody who’s voted on the idea. Thank you for waiting :)

An error occurred while saving the comment Jason Toy commentedthis would be my only contact management system, if we cannot have an iphone/mobile specific app, this would be the best workaround to add it in the notes section...

I really like this idea (I’d use it too!). Integrating it with Google Tasks is also a pretty cool idea (would play nicely with mobile sync!).
for the "show more" you could have a a link to quickly go to a Google Calendar view where I can see all the appointments with that contact, like a prefilled search on calendars...
