Allow me to copy some or all of the info found by Rapportive into the Gmail contact card
have quick one button access to allow me to copy line items from the sidebar into the users gmail contact, or the ability to copy all the info at once
1,421 votesHey folks, we’re nearly done on this. When we’re ready, we’ll release a small beta test to everybody who’s voted on the idea. Thank you for waiting :)

Display a contact's status updates from social networks
I'd like to be able to see the latest tweets / facebook posts / buzz from someone when their profile pops up on the side.
Maybe one effective way to do this would be to have an options panel within Chrome, where you can define which of the data pulled in is expanded and which should just remain a link. Also, you can use the options page to connect to services like Twitter / Facebook. This might help pull up protected tweets as well
325 votesWe already show recent tweets: just click on the Twitter link in the sidebar and it’ll expand to show their most recent tweets. (I find this pretty useful!)
We’re working on doing similar things for Facebook, LinkedIn and other networks too. We’ll probably need to ask you to log into each of those networks before we could display information from them, and it will probably only work for people you were already friends with. We’ve got some ideas on how to make integration with social networks really useful.
I’ll update here when there’s more news on this.

Detect notification emails from social networks
Notifications from Facebook come from **@facebookmail.com. Rapportive should show information about the Facebook user who caused the notification, instead of about Facebook itself. If there's a filter that reads "NAME commented on a photo of you on Facebook" in the subject line, Rapportive should look for NAME instead of *@face**.com. This should work with every other service, since their subjects are pre-formatted. Hope you implement this without the need to connect to every other social network, just a smart subject filter. Greetings from Mexico!
262 votesWe already support this for Twitter. Next time you get a notification email that someone is following you, or has sent you a DM, check the sidebar: we show you that person’s tweets and any other information we could find about them.
Support for other networks is planned!

Hello everybody,
We’ve been working hard on a Highrise Raplet, and we’re now ready to release a private beta to a very small group. The beta is invitation only at the moment; if you’d like an invite, please drop us a line at supportive@rapportive.com and let us know!

Background color for custom skins
I'm using the Ninja skin, which has a black background. The black text in rapportive isn't visible because rapportive is using a transparent background, resulting in black on black.

Show a summary of the contact's website (at their email domain)
A bunch of my contacts come up with the ol' "We couldn't find this person on any social networks" message. That's cool, but how about we show SOME info about the person. If they aren't using a hosted email platform (gmail, yahoo, etc.) then let me see some info about their email domain (mycontact@theircoolcompany.com).
8 votesHi, thanks for this suggestion. We’re working on getting a summary of the website associated with your contact’s email address, and hope we’ll have it working soon.

Add Grooveshark
User profile format http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/user/username/1234567
7 votesHi Adam,
I’ve made it so that you can add your Grooveshark profile to Rapportive manually.
I’ve not yet added automatic searching for Grooveshark profiles. If you felt like building a Raplet, that would be awesome ;).

Option to hide social network links and/or Raplets
I don't care what a person's myspace name or flickr account is, nor it it at all relevant to my business. I just want to be able to create notes that show up whenever I receive an email from that person.
For my purposes, all the social stuff just wastes valuable space and hides the important information. Can we have the option to disable it?
Can we hide everything but the Raplets?
7 votesHi guys, we’ve haven’t gone all the way to completely hiding everything apart from Raplets, but we recently made a big design change which should help: http://blog.rapportive.com/53827077
You can click on sections to expand them, and we remember which sections are expanded. So if you work a lot with your Raplet sections, they will end up expanded whilst the social stuff will end up minimised.
Does that help?

Hi Rob,
We should do this, but our system has been a bit overloaded for the last while, so we had to turn it off.
I’ll let you know when we turn it back on again — hopefully it won’t be too long.

Hi guys,
We’ve just pushed out an update — would love to hear of any problems that still exist after a Gmail refresh.
Please feel free to send screenshots to supportive@rapportive.com.
Thanks!

Support GMail Themes/offer other color settings.
Darker themes make Rapportive invisible, maybe just let people pick from a few different color settings?
6 votesRight now we’ve given Rapportive a white background in all themes. This might not be the prettiest way, but it ensures you can see your information regardless of what theme you choose to use.
Though, we’ve started looking at matching the styling of different themes to look nice everywhere!

Improve speed & responsiveness
Please work on faster load time, eliminate pauses when composing, reduce processor/browser overhead somehow, etc... When I compose a message, I end up waiting 3-5 seconds before the cursor appears and I can see what I'm typing.
6 votesHey Jay, Miles, we’ve released a whole bunch of performance updates recently — is it better for you now?

Add Phone Numbers to Address Book
I HATE having to copy a phone # in an email, switch over to my Contacts, search for the contact, Edit them, add it, click Save... Rapportive can just parse for phone #'s and offer to add them to the Google Contacts record right from the email sidebar.
5 votesHi folks, we’ve made a start on this idea — if you connect your Google Contacts (as described here: http://blog.rapportive.com/address-book-inbox-together-at-last ), we’ll give you a one click link to quickly edit a contact (as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sg2vfenSark ).
Does that help?

Problem: it shows twitter handle from my old job.
My profile shows my private twitter handle (on top) and the one from my old job (below). Its really important this is changed to the handle of my current one. How do I do this?
This is a big problem for me as I dont want to be affiliated with me past job. I've even unfollowed them to see if that helped with no avail. It also brings up the feed from them in my profile which makes matters 10 times worse.
4 votesHi Tine,
Thanks for getting in touch. When I look at your profile, I see the twitter account for @tahitahi, is that the correct profile? I’m not able to see any others. If you’re still seeing them could you send me the usernames by email, (replying to this email should do it).
Thanks,
Lee. -
pull my photo from google or linkedin or fb instead of gravatar.
i don't want to have to make a gravatar profile just to edit my photo.
3 votesHi Axel,
Thanks for getting in touch.
If you have a photo on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc. We will use that one instead of Gravatar (if you don’t have a Gravatar).
We tell people to change the photo on Gravatar because it’s guaranteed to work, and makes it clear how public the Rapportive photo is.
In the future, we’re hoping to have a mechanism where you can choose which photo you want us to display — but that might be a while yet, sorry.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for getting in touch :).
When someone has a Tungle Me membership listed on their profile (and we fill in those memberships automatically if someone has made their Tungle profile public) we show a button that allows you to click to see the calendar from within gmail.
Do you have ideas for what more we should do here?

can it be possible to identify secondary emails ids attached with that profile..?
Or searching shud be flexible enuf to guess the identify dveiations to the original id....say x.y.z@gMail.com shud be equivalent to xyz@gmail.com or many more like this..?
3 votesHey Ashwin,
Thanks for getting in touch :)
We’ve made a start on this, so we ignore uppercase vs. lowercase differences in all email addresses, and various .s and +s in gmail addresses.
We’re not yet sure how safe it is to ignore .s and +s in email addresses than aren’t gmail. We’ll do some more analysis, and update Rapportive accordingly.

that your product suck ... things dont work in crome
or is it that it does not work in crome ?
3 votesHi Ankur,
Sorry to hear Rapportive’s not working for you. It should work in Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
Can you try installing it from The chrome extension gallery? http://bit.ly/chrome_rapportive.
If it still doesn’t work, please drop me an email to supportive@rapportive.com, and I’ll try and work out what’s going wrong.
Thanks

Why am I getting this error message when the API IS correct?
The API token specified in your "Bantam Live Raplet" settings (in the Raplet directory) does not match the API token in your Bantam Live account under the settings section.
3 votesHi Pamela, I’m putting you in touch with the relevant folk at Bantam; see the upcoming email.

Add & synchronise notes through other apps (web and mobile) via an API
I have developed an Android app which (besides other things) lets users take notes after every call they make - see here (including demo video): https://market.android.com/details?id=com.handyelephant.apcrm
It would be awesome if user's could sign into Rapportive from within the app (e.g. via oAuth), so that the app could automatically synchronise these notes with Rapportive.
3 votesHI B W,
You can already show extra information inside Rapportive using our Raplets API (http://code.rapportive.com/).
Is that any good?
