Allow me to copy some or all of the info found by Rapportive into the Gmail contact card
have quick one button access to allow me to copy line items from the sidebar into the users gmail contact, or the ability to copy all the info at once
Hey folks, we’re nearly done on this. When we’re ready, we’ll release a small beta test to everybody who’s voted on the idea. Thank you for waiting :)

It's definitely necessary to do this and also to have a button that leads to Gmail Contacts. Because it didn't have that I had to disable rapportive add-on, although I loved everything else about it!

I could really use this. Especially when using Google Apps for business in combination with an Android mobile device - the contacts are always in the thousands and incomplete!
If Rapportive were able to fill in blank fields for a contact, and merge multiple contacts into one (or few), I would have no problem subscribing to a monthly fee.

Hmmm... That would be nice, but the thread has been started a 17 months ago. Any chance to see that coming soon?

dandy, I'm afraid you are right. Rapportive doesn't work with the next iteration of Firefox, Beta 22. I've even left feedback about it.
Vote that up as well. Although it probably doesn't matter at this point.

As far as I can tell, Rapportive development has ceased. Would love to be proven wrong.

This would be nice. Is this still being developed?

Ummm... is there a one-year status on this? Is Rapportive still being actively developed?

Sam posted back in July of 2010: "I can see how this would be useful, but we’re not sure yet whether we can provide an excellent user experience here. Synchronising and merging contacts is a really hard problem – even the likes of Apple and Google get it wrong, creating duplicate contacts or overwriting data."
I like the idea of synchronizing the Rapporitive notes field with the Google Contacts notes field, but I also have the same concerns listed above. Can we have some transparency on how this feature would be implemented?

Any news on this? Almost 7 months since "almost done" - this would be a great value-add!

Hi,
Any news on this. have spent the day searching for this and for some reason thought it was already created. If it also had the ability to do it on a Google CSV file from a list of Email contacts, now that is even more amazing. Fantastic for submitting a mail list to MailChimp or something of the sort.
Well done on Rapportive

While reading email, a person's Rapportive profile comes up on the side. I'd like a button that says, "add to Gmail Contacts" and when I click it, automatically adds picture, contact info, etc. AND brings up the tag list so I can properly tag them. In an ideal world, it would also search for a duplicate record and merge them (or prompt me to decide whether to merge them).

I'm also interested. Is it done? If so, it's not intuitive.

Is it ready yet? I can't wait to try this! :)

Another vote here for this to happen. Last status from Rahul Vohra is that they'be "nearly done", but that was back in Jan !!

MVS-001 : I'd like to see a button that overwrites any blank fields with data found by rapportive, eg. twitter name, photo etc
MVS-002 : Data type by data type controls, to push to google contacts, with overwrite warning if data exists.
MVS-003 : allow me to enable a constant push from Rapportive data into google contacts, like rainmaker but less crappy.
