    Hi Sumukh,

This would sometimes be pretty useful, I agree. In the meantime, did you know that you can hover over an email address or a sender to see their Rapportive profile?

  2. When using Rapportive with Batchbook, we can use "Batchbook it" to add email addresses directly. I would like the name of the person sending the email to be detected and added with the email address.

  4. When I switch accounts in Gmail/Google Apps Rapportive should automatically switch to my Rapportive profile regarding that account.

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for getting in touch, and thank you for using Rapportive.

We should already do this — though it’s possible we don’t handle some cases correctly.

Would you be able to send me a summary of what kind of Gmail accounts you have to supportive@rapportive.com?
Have you used the Rapportive switch account menu in the past?

    Thanks!

    Conrad

  5. Would be great if you supported StackExchange profiles, as they aggregate activity across all of the StackExchange sites (stackoverflow, serverfault, superuser etc)

    Hey Josh,

Great idea! I had a quick look and I couldn’t find stack-exchange profiles — they all seem to be for a specific site.

Was I just looking in the wrong place?

    Hi Ermmett,

Thanks for getting in touch — what a great idea!

We’ll have to do some thinking about how to do this reliably and make it simple, and I’ll update this idea as things progress.

    Hi Dan,

We used to show these where the “Call” button is now — but we thought that that was more useful.

Don’t worry though, the information is still there, if you hover over the button you will see a black hovercard appear which will say “Phone John’s number” or words-to-that-effect.

Is that useful enough for you?

    Conrad

  8. I am connected with "person 1" on linkedin but they don't have a photo so rapportive is showing me a photo of "person 2" that shares a name with "person 1." I can't change the photo and it is driving me nuts! HELP!

Thanks for pointing this out. It’s definitely a problem that we’re jumping on to fix as soon as we can!

  14. Apparently some (all? most? much?) of the Rapportive profile data is based on educated guesses of what online profiles correspond with an email address.

I just figured out that Rapportive's insistence on picking some strange user icon for my gmail address, instead of its gravatar, was due to it having associated me with some bloke on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/johan.sundstrom1) which seems to bear my name.

I would appreciate some kind of indicator of "we're guessing wildly on loose grounds here", as opposed to really solid, provable kinds of data like "this gravatar really does belong to the email address…

Thanks for getting in touch, this is something we’ve been meaning to do for a while.

I just took a look and the incorrect data on your profile came from an old provider we no longer use — anything in the future should be up-to-date.

If you have any other problems, feel free to let us know either here or at support@rapportive.com!

  16. For extension developers, it would be useful if the console log messages could be turned off.

Maybe you could include a flag in the localStorage for the background page (background.html) to do the same (in Chrome) and keep it as a hidden feature.
