  2. mailchimp signon doesn't seem to validate correctly

    When already in a rap session on a user info screen & not signed into mailchimp the Login to Mailchimp is there - when clicked a separate window opens & after signing in no matter what I do (even log out back into rap it doesn't recognize i'm signed into mailchimp - ideas? Should I be signed into mailchimp before I sign into gmail?

    Hi Marvin, which browser are you using for Gmail? Generally yes, you do need to be signed into Mailchimp in the same browser as your Gmail tab before you can use the Raplet.

    If the login through the Raplet doesn’t work, please can you let Mailchimp know, since they provide the Raplet :)

  3. Integrate a notes section in Gmail/Facebook Chat

    This way when we are chatting with people we can create notes that we should remember in various discussions with this person - these notes should even be visible from their facebook profile and gmail contacts.

    This way we can always get back to notes about this person and keep abreast of whats important and going on in their life.

    Great for networking.

    Hi Idan, thanks for your note. I’m afraid it can vary quite a lot — because of the large number of people we need to deal with, it can sometimes take a long time for the information to get updated.

  7. Consider displaying info of other social networks on demand just like labels in gmail.

    No need to clutter the allocated space with info you have on this person, but not care about. It can just hidden/unhidden.

    We’re working on a small redesign to Rapportive that will learn which fields are most important to you — i.e. membership links will take up less space if you never click on them.

  8. Don't show Facebook "Add Friend" for a contact who is already my friend

    I noticed that the "Add Friend" button is shown in the Facebook section, even for contacts who are already my Facebook friends. This is confusing -- it should only be shown if the contact is on Facebook and we are not currently friends.

    HI Ayaz,

    There are two times when Rapportive gets this wrong — the first time is before you connect to Facebook, then we can’t tell who your friends are; the second time is just after you’ve friended someone. It might take us up to a week to update the status.

    We have some ideas on how to make this happen faster, and we’ll keep this message updated as things improve.

    This would sometimes be pretty useful, I agree. In the meantime, did you know that you can hover over an email address or a sender to see their Rapportive profile?

    Would be great if you supported StackExchange profiles, as they aggregate activity across all of the StackExchange sites (stackoverflow, serverfault, superuser etc)

  11. chrome buttons slip under bottom of popup

    In chrome/win 11.0.696.71, every time I try to connect to my facebook profile, the button to submit falls under the bottom of the window. I try adjusting window size, and nothing works, so I can't actually submit the form, so I can't do any facebook connections from gmail. Help!

  12. LinkedIn shows as "connected" even if I cancel the connect request

    If I cancel out of a Rapportive LinkedIn connect request, I still see an update to the contact's LinkedIn widget as "connected."

  13. Fix the error with the Google Chat link.

    Clicking on Google Chat should start a chat with the currently highlighted person, not with the person who initiated the e-mail thread.

  14. improve Linked-in contact recognition

    I've just started using Rapportive and it's very cool, except that Lilnked-in contacts are not appearing on your sidebar very often. When I click, your message box finds that they are there after all. Annoying

  16. Currently can't log in to LinkedIn et al.

    I hit the link to login with LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, it appears to happen, then Rapportive refreshes, and it still says I need to login.

    Thanks for getting in touch, and thank you for using Rapportive.

    We deployed a change to the Rapportive code on Saturday that may have caused similar problems (we didn’t notice any in testing, but there’s always a chance we missed something).

    Have you tried refreshing Gmail this week?

  19. Is it possible to move the Rapportive login button on the new look gmail

    In the new look gmail the Rapportive login button sits over the search button. Is it possible to move this, perhaps on to the new drop down toolbar?

  20. Rapportive + Gmail + Chrome 19

    Hello devs,

    Rapportive won't log in or allow me to edit my rapportive profile.

    It keeps asking me to sign up with google, linkedin, facebook or other, opens and closes the new window and nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

    I’ve tried upgrading to Chrome 19 but I don’t see the effect you are reporting.

    Is there any chance you could try downgrading to the beta channel of Chrome and seeing whether that fixes your problems?
