Rapportive for Facebook
Hi,
I always have this problem Facebook friends request, when i don't know the person.
I manually search for the name of the person on linkedin, twitter, to see if the person shares same interests, and see his job, occupations etc..
It will be great to have Rapportive for Facebook, which displays the same informations but on Facebook.
Anyway, thank you, rapportive rocks !
6 votesHi,
Awesome idea — I also have the same problem :).
Unfortunately we’re unlikely to have time to work on this soon, but I’ll update this story when we make progress.

I would give my right arm if Rapportive could show which Group (if any) that the person emailing me is in.
This would save me having to check whether or not I have already placed that person in a mailing group.
1 voteHi Jason,
That would indeed be a very useful thing to do. Thanks for suggesting it :).

Giving customisable names to the profiles and adding URLs to profiles
I would like to see the name of the page along with the profile. for example, on my profile i have 2 Facebook pages- My profile and my company profile page. Both these pages are displayed as Facebook. I'd like to see it as Facebook- Priyanshu and Facebook-Marketology.in
If they can be made customisable that will be even better, else picking the names from profiles page is good enough
Similar for Linked in.
Another thing I would suggest is, the website links should be displayed on the popup. For example, when i point the mouse to the facebook profile of…1 voteHey again,
Awesome idea, it’d be cool to give people more control over their profile.

When you list recent mail, maybe you can do an alternate shading on the entries. or else I think it's random text.

1 voteHi Edwin,
Thanks for getting in touch and thank you for using Rapportive.
This is a pretty interesting idea, do you know why it just looks like random text to you at the moment?

Hi Gregory,
The “Add to calendar” button is actually a built-in Gmail feature, so there’s not too much we can do about it.
You might want to try getting in touch with Gmail support at http://support.google.com/mail/.
Please let me know how you get on,
Conrad

Add Github last activities
Add Github last activities like we have the last tweets. Would be nicier to see what the other people are building without leave gmail. =D

Not sure when we’ll have time to do this, but it would be great!

Gmail Calendar Add malfunctions with Rapportive.
There seems to be an issue with Add to Google Calendar from Gmail when Rapportive is active - it leads to a Google error page, saying the address is too long. This is happening both in Firefox and Chrome at this stage. Any ideas how to fix this?
1 voteHi Gerald, sorry to hear we might be interfering with the calendar integration. Could you email supportive@rapportive.com with a few more details to help us track this down? The following would help:
- a screenshot of Gmail while you’re viewing an email with an “Add to Google Calendar” link
- a screenshot of the error page you see when you click the link
Thanks!

Hi Nick,
Thanks for mentioning this — as it’s something the people widget supports we’d really like to add this to Rapportive.
I’ll update this story when we make progress,

Rapportive not finding people
Rapportive isn't finding anyone from Facebook/Google+. I've logged into everything, and it manages to find my profile when I pull up an email I sent to myself, but does not find anyone else.
3 votesThanks for your note, and sorry that we weren’t able to find any profiles for your contacts! Although we try hard, Rapportive isn’t perfect. There can be several reasons why we wouldn’t find profiles: maybe your contacts use different email addresses on social networks, or maybe they have their privacy settings set so that they cannot be found. Sometimes it can also simply take a few hours until we’ve gathered the data.
We’re continuing to work on making this better — in the meantime, thanks for your patience!

have a refresh button to reload contacts when duplicates have been merged in google contacts
I sometimes find I have multiple contact entries for the same person In my gmail address book I sometimes find I have duplicates. If I go and merge them together in gmail, when I come back to the message and click Google Contacts, Rapportive finds nothing. I would expect that it would refresh and now show me the additional contact info rather than taking me to the google contacts home and telling me the contact was deleted.
1 voteHey Joseph, thanks for your note. Rapportive does notice when you’ve merged contacts, and shows the updated information in the sidebar, but it may take 1-2 days for your change to get picked up by the sidebar. We’re looking into ways of speeding this up in future. (A button to reload would be a possibility, but it would add clutter in the 99% of cases when you don’t need it, and so we’re hesitant to add more buttons.)

Can't Login under Windows Chrome, but Windows Firefox works fine
I have successfully logged in using Windows Firefox 8.0.1, but for whatever reason, when I click on the LogIn link under Chrome 17.0.963.56, nothing happens. I have cleared cache and restarted with no change.
1 voteThanks for your note — that sounds like a bug. I’ll follow up by email to figure out the details.

Warn before installing Google Apps that happy users of the GMail raplet may be disappointed.
Seems like all reviews of HAPPY rapportive users in GMail moving to Google Apps are extremely disappionted. How about at least warn users before they change. I am on; in Google Apps I no longer have access to the right side raplet of my list info.
3 votesHey Bill, thanks for your note. I agree that the Google Apps gadget is somewhat of a disappointment; we’re actually thinking of discontinuing it, since the environment it runs in is very restrictive and doesn’t allow us to provide the user experience we want. Also the normal Rapportive sidebar works just fine on Google Apps domains.

I haven't been able to delete some services (ex.: Vimeo) from my profile. I'm using Mac OS 10.6 and Chrome
1 voteHi there,
Would you be able to email supportive@rapportive.com (simply reply to this email) with the address of the profiles you’re trying to edit?
Thanks,
