to support also SeaMonkey browser
i use seamonkey, becouse i hope that in the future can develop the tab-mail reading, with the e-mail client in the same browser's window.
1 voteHi Nicola,
Thanks for the idea!
We want to support more platforms in the future, but it’s very hard to give guarantees on when we’ll manage any particular one.
I’ll keep you updated,
Conrad

API: Let us use your email -> image code
I noticed that you use Gravatars, but fall back to facebook (and possibly others) when you're displaying a photo. Could we have the same ability in raplets?
1 voteThat’s a pretty good idea, though it might be quite complicated (both to implement and use) to provide something that works in every circumstance.
Just out of curiosity, how big an image where you thinking of displaying?, What would you like to happen when it’s a company profile instead of a user?

provide a link so I can log out of me@onedomain.com and log back in as me@domaintwo.com
I logged in as one email address and now want to use it to correct my details for another email address I have, a pretty common situation as many people have at lerast one personal and one work account, sometimes both with Gmail. I cannot log out of rapportive to relogin with another account as there seems to be some auto login set up with myopenID. How do I move between more than one email account or AT LEAST stop confirming the unwanted email account.?
3 votesHey Joseph – Great minds think alike :). We’ve recently started work on some significant changes to the way logging-in works, I’ll keep you updated as things progress.
In the mean time, you should be able to click the “Log out” link in Rapportive menu (the first link at the top-right), then when you open the other gmail account, the Log in button should use your other email address.
There are some issues with Google’s experimental Multiple sign-on feature, if you’re using it, you might have to sign out of all Google accounts individually first.

Share person/company email history with my colleagues
I frequently will respond to a potential customer's email and then want to go back to that client's name and enter in a note about said email. It would be great to add a plugin so that before I send the email, I could associate it with that person's name, so that other people from my company could see the email record. 37 Signal's Highrise has a feature like this, but I prefer to respond to a request and associate it with a person in one fell swoop, not with a separate tab in a different product.
5 votesThis is an interesting idea. We’re figuring out how this would need to work in order to be useful. How do you currently share correspondence history with your colleagues? Does your current workflow need to be changed? Please let us know at supportive@rapportive.com :)

more frequent fetch of profile
I updated my Linked in profile a couple weeks ago with a new job but that position does not seem to show up on Rapportive in Chrome when I view my own profile.
1 voteHi Frank, it’s quite hard for us to provide guarantees about the length of time between look-ups. It should be around two weeks. If you want anything in particular updated, just drop me a line to supportive@rapportive.com

Disable rapportive for users in my own domain (Google Apps)
It would be great if rapportive had an option "Disable for my own domain" in Google Apps, because I already know my colleagues and seeing their rapportive profiles everyday is annoying

Thanks Alex; that’s a great point. We hope to get to this soon. In the meantime, you can remove them add raplets.com and add back with the one you want on top last (clunky, I know!)

Link email addresses in tweets
Currently if tweets have show an email address (user@domain.com) the @domain gets linked to a twitter account. It would be more useful if the entire email address linked to a gmail compose window.

Have a way to see the standard Gmail sidebar
Sometimes I miss it...for instance it will have automatically generated links to calendar or maps. Sometimes I even want to see the ads! So there should be a way to get it back temporarily.
1 voteHey Mike,
1. We’re still collecting feedback on how valuable people find the adverts. Thanks for your feedback; it’s very valuable to us.
2. We actually show all the automatically generated links such as calendar or map links; we know people value these highly and we do not wish to remove them! Sometimes, Gmail isn’t great at extracting and will miss them. If they don’t appear in Rapportive, it’s because Gmail hasn’t found them.
Does that help?

help me work out what I'm doing wrong...
I have installed Rapportive and am using the BatchBook Raplet (which I think is genius) but the actual Rapportive doesn't seem to work... It keeps telling me it can't find any networks for that contact... and I know that isn't right because I know I have them. Can you give me a steer as to what I'm doing wrong please?

Allow services to register. Stuff like boltbus or my airline.
I was hoping that my boltbus ticket would bring up the option to add the trip to my calendar.

This currently isn’t possible because the Raplet works with whatever account you’re currently logged into mailchimp.com with. It’s possible that future changes might improve this, but probably not in the near future — sorry!

add a field for LI profile so that a user may manually add the LI profile of a contact that Rapportiv couldnt detect.

Show users where you get the individual pieces of profile data from
I'm constantly trying to regain control of my personal information. I was surprised by some of the pieces of accurate and ancient profile information that rapportive was able to glean on me. I'd really like to know where you got this link to my twitter account and other social sites, so that I can do a better job of keeping private what I mean to be private. It would be a nice service.

Get Rapportive to work in Gmail's older version and basic html
I use gmail's older version when my main account is being slow (stuck on loading) or when I want to see all of my labels. Rapportive doesn't appear at all in the older version, no profile, no link.

personalized box with a title and text
For example, I have 3 different sites: my own trademark webite, my personal blog, and also a personal project with a blog. I would like to have a box with a title "Projects" and then Link to those 3 sites.
Or maybe, a box for "Latest work", and so on...3 votesThanks for the suggestion – that’s a good idea! If we did that, we’d have to be careful to avoid the sidebar being cluttered or confusing.
We’re already planning to support adding blogs (http://rapportive.com/feedback/918161) and websites (http://rapportive.com/feedback/921601) to your profile – check out the linked suggestions if you’d like to be notified when we roll that out.

Great idea! We could do this by adding a little “email status” message you could set on your profile for people who email you to see.

create a Mail.app plugin.
Create a plugin for Apple's Mail.app and others.
322 votesI agree, support Mail.app would be awesome — we want you to be able to just continuing whatever email client you prefer. Right now we’re focussed on making Rapportive the best Gmail plugin in the world; in the medium term we will take what we’ve learnt in Gmail and apply it across other email clients.
That means it might unfortunately take a little while until we get to supporting Mail.app, but it definitely will come.
Best,
Martin
