  1. For one of my friends, the auto-populated Twitter handle does not belong to him. I'd like to be able to notify rapportive that this info is incorrect

  3. In google apps you now have personal contacts and domain level contacts - when I click on Google contact - it should show me BOTH versions of this persons information, not just MY contact version.

We’ll definitely consider searching automatically for VK profiles if enough people want it. Right now, you can already add your VK profile to Rapportive. First copy your VK profile address to your clipboard. Then in the Rapportive dropdown menu at the top of Gmail, click “Edit my profile”; then in the sidebar, where it says “add social network”, paste your VK profile, and click “Add”.

  5. I have read another previous request that
was answered regarding my/your own profile and it was somehow solved by Rahul & Sam

    ...BUT...

I think the biggest part is to fetch the information of our contacts from Xing. As Alex said in the post, here in the german spoken countries this Professional Social Network is much more important than Linkedin.

    I would appreciate any answer

    Thanks

    Hi Mario,

This is a great idea, we’d love to get information from XING too!

I’m not yet sure when we’ll do this, or how we’ll implement it (do you happen to know if XING have an API?)

  7. We've just added a matchFWD raplet (url is matchfwd.com/rapportive/matchfwd_rapplet/(yes with a typo, blame the intern) but it'd be cool to be able to also show it in my Rapportive profile.

matchFWD is a cool new tool to ask for referrals from your contacts when hiring.

Hi Philippe, thanks for your note. The way that raplets work is that every user gets to choose which raplets they want to see; we can’t just show it to everyone who looks up your profile. However, you can give the raplet link to anyone who wants to see matchFWD information in Rapportive, and they will use the raplet.

Does that help? You can also contact us directly at supportive@rapportive.com to discuss further.

    Best,
    Martin

    Hi All,

We’re planning to do this, if you vote for this idea, we’ll be able to prioritise accordingly; and as a nice bonus, we’ll let you know when it’s done :).

  9. I have send and archive as default. I used to be able to tab straight from this to Send, next to it. This was great. Now however tabbing from send and archive seems to take me straight from send and archive to rapportive, which is really annoying - I have to manually use my mouse to send.

Hi Joshua, thanks for pointing this out. This seems do be a change made by Gmail — I don’t think it’s Rapportive’s fault! We are investigating what we can do about this. In the meantime, try reloading your Gmail tab — that sometimes fixes it for me.

  10. This is similar to Joe Aston's request to save Rapportive notes to Google contacts "notes" field. I would also like to SEE notes that I have stored in my Google Contacts "notes" field. It would be great -- and super powerful -- if these two fields could be synced.

Similar to Joe Aston, I use Google Notes field to record the history of conversations / contacts I've had with a particular individual, how I know the individual, personal details about the individual that are easy to forget but important to ask about when interacting with the individual, etc.

  11. A contact I email with just emailed me to say "give me a call at (xxx) xxx-xxxx. I would love to be able to easily add this number to my contact in gmail/rapportive. Right now I have to copy the number, go to the contacts list and paste it in. Can rapportive store info not explicitly found on social networks? Is there a gmail API to edit contact details?

    Hi John,

Thanks for getting in touch :). It seems likely that we’ll eventually support Hotmail, though we’ve got an awful lot more work to do within Gmail first!

I’ll update this story when we start making progress on this.

  14. Display the most current six events both you and the sender has/is attending. Primarily this would should events from your Google Calendar they are invited to, but showing any LinkedIn or Facebook events accessible to both of you would also help make connections.

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for getting in touch! This is a great idea — particularly aggregating events from multiple places :).

I’ll keep this story up to date as we think about it more.

  15. Currently you also see mentions in Twitter updates. As mentions are addressed to only one person, I think it does not make sense to show these. It would be best to only show real status updates and not the mentions.

    Hi Anton,

That’s a very good point. We’ve found that the conversation view of Rapportive (if you hover over a tweet, you can see the entire conversation) can be quite cool sometimes, and that mostly uses the mentions to work.

That said, we could filter them out optionally so that you got a better view of what people say unprompted.

Thanks Drew, good idea. Most of our raplets are made by the vendors themselves, since they have the best understanding of what their users want. Can I suggest that you get in touch with InfusionSoft and ask them to make a raplet? We’re more than happy to help them with the process.

    Best, Martin

  17. I need the following scenario to work:

    1. Identify profile(s) on the current webpage (using url and embedded microformats)
    2. Complete the information with Rapportive-collected data
    3. Merge into Google Contacts

    Hi Greg,

Thanks — that’s an awesome idea!. I’m not sure how much time we’ll have to work on Rapportive outside of Gmail, but this would be a pretty good fun place to start :).

    Thanks again,
