Don't show rapportive on myself
LOVE the thing showing info on the people I'm emailing. You would probably save a bunch of cycles and bandwidth, however, if you turned it off for me. I don't need to see my own LinkedIn profile pic!
3 votesHi Scott,
We do try to avoid showing you pictures of yourself, though when you’ve just started composing an email and we don’t have anyone else to show, we have to do something.
Can you think of a more useful thing to display in the sidebar at that point?

Hi Christopher,
I think our emails got crossed, sorry! I see your comment with the detailed example now, that’s awesome, thanks. :)
Could you email supportive@rapportive.com with the email addresses that would be better flagged as role-based? We have a set of rules (based on the username of an email address) but we can override them manually when needed.
Thanks,

remove rapportive from bottom of email threads
I love rapportive - on the right hand side of my google apps.
Can't seem to find a way to remove rapportive from being appended to the bottom of my email threads.
It's redundant and distracting. Especially with the new Google Apps Gmail redesign. It dominates the viewer experience and if I can't remove will have to uninstall rapportive (and imagine others may too). Appreciate your help.
3 votesHi Michael,
Thanks for getting in touch, and thanks for using Rapportive!
The bottom-of-email version of Rapportive (aka. contextual gadget) needs to be uninstalled on a domain-wide basis, we have some instructions at https://rapportive.com/help#uninstallation .
Please let me know how you get on,
Conrad

Add smarterer
Add support for Smarterer - You could display their badges, or just a link to their smarterer profile
3 votesHi Mike,
I’ve done the first part of this now, which is to let you add your Smarterer profile to Rapportive.

Fix long email addresses which overflow to the right. See screenshot at http://cl.ly/2T2X3q083g2v1P0s3j25

Thanks for pointing this out! I’ll see if we can fix this, and let you know when it’s done.

Correct the copy in the boiler plate Linkedin invite
Starting a sentence with a lower case is just poor form! You guys need to rev that up to a higher professional standard. Make me WANT to send that invite without altering the copy. Right now I have to delete it every time so people don't think I don't know how to write a coherent message.
3 votesHi Ryan, thanks for your note. We made the “rapportive.com” text at the start of the paragraph lowercase because otherwise LinkedIn doesn’t make it a clickable link — it’s a tricky compromise between grammar and practicality :) Sorry!

batchbook rapplet: select which fields to display
I love how batchbook can tie into rapportive (one of the reasosn we chose this for our CRM). But it would be even better if the fields rapportive pulls in are customizable. I'm afraid one of us might miss something by pulling in "comments" but not "notes," for instance. As it stands, we'll have to go into batchbook when we see a contact is there.
I think batchbook told me this rapplet was created over at rapportive... but I see in a post from Conrad that it was people at batchbook?
You guys rock, thanks!
3 votesGood idea, thanks!
Batchbook do have control over the raplet, and I’ll see if I can forward this request to them.

More Social
1- I wish to see one button (for example) allowing me to add this contact to all of my social networks , asking for permission for one time rather than doing it for many more times for each social netword and each time I add him .
2-In case there is a message with many contacts , why not to include all those contacts pictures in the rapportive box , so I can see the pictures of all the included contact in the message and if I realized someone familiar I may try to contact or add him to my…3 votesHi Muhammed,
Thanks for getting in touch, and thanks for the idea — “More Social” is the best title yet :)
The one-click “add on all networks” button is a cool idea, as is showing a list of people in the thread. We’ll definitely be treating these as things to consider, thanks!

Hi Paul,
A self-service mechanism for unlinking Crunchbase profiles would be awesome, though we haven’t got round to building it yet.
If you’d like to send me (supportive@rapportive.com) the email addresses that you notice have wrong Crunchbase profiles I can quickly add them to the internal blacklist.
Thanks,

To change the langage to english
I need to change the langage to english please?
3 votesHi Jody,
Can you please send a screenshot of the non-English that you’re seeing to supportive@rapportive.com? (there are instructions at http://take-a-screenshot.org/)
Thanks!

Post Summary of Website
I noticed that some of the rapportive profiles include a summary of their website and links to website pages like "about" "blog" "products" etc. Profiles I'm referring to include Vimeo and Society6. Can I create a similar feature on my rapportive profile for my website? Thank you.
3 votesHi Michael,
If you send an email to supportive@rapportive.com with the email address that you use to send email about your blog, I can update its sidebar to look like the websites’.
Feel free to include a paragraph of description and some links, otherwise I’ll just let the Rapportive parser have a go at generating them automatically from your blog.

Allow me to get the public profile link for Linkedin in Rapportive.
I give a lot of intros. I love the rapportive window populating info on each person in the TO/CC fields. It would be even better if I could get someone's public linked in link (like http://www.linkedin.com/in/NAME) so i can paste that into the message
3 votesHi Jason,
We should be showing you the public profile when we know what it is. Can you send the email address of someone where this isn’t working to supportive@rapportive.com, and I’ll investigate.
Thanks,

Connect to people's blogs, if possible
It would be interesting (though possibly difficult) if Rapportive could discover the websites or blogs people publish from. And put a link to those places in the Rapportive sidebar.
An easy attempt would be to grab web addresses from their signature. Even better would be to find some way to connect the email address to blogs - maybe Feedburner offers such a thing? Maye there are other ways to go about this too.
3 votesHi Jack,
Thanks for the reminder! We are planning to do something along these lines, though there are a few technical hurdles to get past first.
I’ll update this idea when we have some progress,

Friend's profile shows twitter that is definitely NOT his own.
Also wish I could provide feedback on issues in non-forum way (i.e. report bugs?)
3 votesHi Kusha,
Thanks for getting in touch, just send an email to supportive@rapportive.com and we’ll deal with it for you :).
We have been thinking about easier ways to allow reporting profile mis-matches, and we’ll definitely update uservoice when we’ve worked out a good solution.

Warn before installing Google Apps that happy users of the GMail raplet may be disappointed.
Seems like all reviews of HAPPY rapportive users in GMail moving to Google Apps are extremely disappionted. How about at least warn users before they change. I am on; in Google Apps I no longer have access to the right side raplet of my list info.
3 votesHey Bill, thanks for your note. I agree that the Google Apps gadget is somewhat of a disappointment; we’re actually thinking of discontinuing it, since the environment it runs in is very restrictive and doesn’t allow us to provide the user experience we want. Also the normal Rapportive sidebar works just fine on Google Apps domains.

Rapportive not finding people
Rapportive isn't finding anyone from Facebook/Google+. I've logged into everything, and it manages to find my profile when I pull up an email I sent to myself, but does not find anyone else.
3 votesThanks for your note, and sorry that we weren’t able to find any profiles for your contacts! Although we try hard, Rapportive isn’t perfect. There can be several reasons why we wouldn’t find profiles: maybe your contacts use different email addresses on social networks, or maybe they have their privacy settings set so that they cannot be found. Sometimes it can also simply take a few hours until we’ve gathered the data.
We’re continuing to work on making this better — in the meantime, thanks for your patience!
Best, Martin

Hi Nick,
Thanks for mentioning this — as it’s something the people widget supports we’d really like to add this to Rapportive.
I’ll update this story when we make progress,
