    Hi Ermmett,

Thanks for getting in touch — what a great idea!

We’ll have to do some thinking about how to do this reliably and make it simple, and I’ll update this idea as things progress.

  4. Facebook allows you to add a person to a group when you request they be a friend (or if you accept a request). I'd like this option from inside rapportive.

  5. It would be useful to know which data for a person is from my private Google Contacts, or other logged in social network, and which is publicly available (based on your look-ups).

  7. I suggest you add support for Twitter lists feature. This can be helpful if you want to "tag" (add to list) someone based on a conversation you had with him, or when you follow him.

  9. At the moment I have to click "Log in as <email address>" fairly often, probably a few times a week. It would be great if this token would be as long lived as my gmail login cookie.

    Hi Sverre,

If you visit https://google.com/a/cpanel/rabbelier.com/Dashboard, you will see a “Google Apps is changing” notice if your domain is not transitioned.

If it has been transitioned, then clearing the cookies of https://accounts.google.com/ may help you rid yourself of the old state.

That said, it seems equally possible that delegated accounts could cause similar problems, and I know we haven’t added explicit support for them yet.

  11. For extension developers, it would be useful if the console log messages could be turned off.

Maybe you could include a flag in the localStorage for the background page (background.html) to do the same (in Chrome) and keep it as a hidden feature.

  13. Apparently some (all? most? much?) of the Rapportive profile data is based on educated guesses of what online profiles correspond with an email address.

I just figured out that Rapportive's insistence on picking some strange user icon for my gmail address, instead of its gravatar, was due to it having associated me with some bloke on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/johan.sundstrom1) which seems to bear my name.

I would appreciate some kind of indicator of "we're guessing wildly on loose grounds here", as opposed to really solid, provable kinds of data like "this gravatar really does belong to the email address…

Thanks for getting in touch, this is something we’ve been meaning to do for a while.

I just took a look and the incorrect data on your profile came from an old provider we no longer use — anything in the future should be up-to-date.

If you have any other problems, feel free to let us know either here or at support@rapportive.com!

  15. I have developed an Android app which (besides other things) lets users take notes after every call they make - see here (including demo video): https://market.android.com/details?id=com.handyelephant.apcrm

It would be awesome if user's could sign into Rapportive from within the app (e.g. via oAuth), so that the app could automatically synchronise these notes with Rapportive.

  16. The raplets system is very useful when dealing with email threads. However, it would also be useful to have custom raplets in your inbox as well, so you can decide who you need to follow up with next (If it's a CRM) or have other useful information. The gmail inbox is like a dashboard for many people, and this would add a ton of power and flexibility without forcing us to go into third party applicaitons.

    Hey Adrian,

This is something we really want to do — though obviously we need to work out what we can put into your Inbox that is as useful as the per-email sidebar first :).

    Conrad

  17. I love the new Google People sidebar in GMail, but I also love Rapportive. I can't use both, as it seems like Rapportive overrides Google People. Is a fix to allow them to co-exist in the works? If not, I would love it to be!

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for getting in touch, and thank you for using Rapportive.

We should already do this — though it’s possible we don’t handle some cases correctly.

Would you be able to send me a summary of what kind of Gmail accounts you have to supportive@rapportive.com?
Have you used the Rapportive switch account menu in the past?

    Thanks!

    Conrad
