Orkut is missing
There are support for many social networking sites. i think Orkut is missing. Its big in asia.and it belongs to google. Since you are tapping into gmail, i think orkut and buzz should have been in your list
10 votesYou can add your Orkut account to your profile. Click on the ‘my profile’ link in the sidebar, then ‘Add a social network’ and paste in the address of your Orkut profile.
This isn’t quite as awesome as automatically searching for Orkut profiles like we do with Facebook and Twitter, but it’s a first step.

Allow users to report bad/abusive profile matches
One good example is:
discship@netflix.comAnyone getting Netflix emails gets links to some chick's myspace page. There should be a button to report bogus links so you can easily count reports & spot high value offenders.
181 votesYup, we want to do this. (In the meantime, until we put in a proper “report” button, we’d appreciate it if you could drop us an email at support@rapportive.com if you find abusive profiles!)

Background color for custom skins
I'm using the Ninja skin, which has a black background. The black text in rapportive isn't visible because rapportive is using a transparent background, resulting in black on black.

I really like this idea (I’d use it too!). Integrating it with Google Tasks is also a pretty cool idea (would play nicely with mobile sync!).

Use FOAF to crawl profiles
FriendFeed and Google Profiles both crawl FOAF and expose them: http://xmlns.com/foaf/spec/

Let the "add note" box get focused with a keyboard shortcut
I want to add notes really quickly while I'm navigating new emails using the keyboard.
Most of the good keyboard shortcuts are already taken, but shift-N looks like it would work wonderfully.
So the flow would be: I've hit return from the inbox to enter a message, I want to add a note so I shift-N, then the note box is focused and I can immediately start typing.

Use the reply-to address when a look-up fails.
If I get an email from my wordpress installation telling me that someone has left a comment, the real person's email address is in the Reply-To header, but rapportive (correctly) looks up the From field first. If this first lookup fails to find any interesting data, (because the email is from someone like wordpress@myblog.com), it should do a look-up using the Reply-To address.
116 votesThis is a good idea – thanks! We’ll look into this.
We’ve already improved our support for a related situation, when you get an email from an automated system or company address: we show you a summary of the company and useful links. See here for details: http://rapportive.uservoice.com/forums/42557-general/suggestions/518911-display-an-informative-and-helpful-profile-when-co?ref=title

tweak the twitter integration
I think the following tweaks would improve the twitter integration:
at the moment if I click a link from a tweet it doesn't follow the link, it closes the tweets panel.
don't include replies
make retweets look smarter or don't include them.
8 votesThese are good ideas – and #1 is my bad, sorry! We’ll get on these.
Presumably by “smarter” you’re referring to Twitter’s new UI for “native” retweets, where there’s a little “RT” icon?
- Don't see your idea?
