    Hi Nick,

That doesn’t sound right… is Rapportive showing people on LinkedIn as though you were not connected to them even though they are?

Could you please let me know of an email address for which this happens?

    Thanks,

    Conrad

I can see where Nick is coming from. Not sure if this is the same issue or not but I noticed a delay when a new LI connection is added (Rapportive still shows "connect" when we are already connected). However it was just a delay (15-30 mins), and the little check mark showed eventually which flagged us as connected on LI.

    Hi,

Yes — we really need a first-user-introduction so that you know what’s going on!

In order to actually see Rapportive you need to open an email inside Gmail — does that work for you?

When the documentation is written, please write a blurb about potential side effects to Rapportive when clearing cache. Clearing browser cache/history is a common thing for people to do & I have found an issue when clearing cache in chrome (opened new forum post on it).

    Hi Axel,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

If you have a photo on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc. We will use that one instead of Gravatar (if you don’t have a Gravatar).

We tell people to change the photo on Gravatar because it’s guaranteed to work, and makes it clear how public the Rapportive photo is.

In the future, we’re hoping to have a mechanism where you can choose which photo you want us to display — but that might be a while yet, sorry.

    Conrad

I hope the 'upload your own photo' feature gets bumped up because I can't stand gravatar. With gravatar, I have zero control over which picture gets placed on which forum or blog I am commenting on. Even if you guys limited the size to 200kb that is better than gravatar!

Hope you don't mind Conrad. I just e-mailed you a request to combine 2 of my e-mails since it looks like I can't do it myself.
