API for adding Rapportive to my web app
I work on a few sites that have Member Profile pages. It would be awesome to add the Rapportive sidebar to them just like I do to Gmail, or open an API where I could send an email address or phone number to Rapportive and it returns a JSON array of everything you know about that person so I could build it myself. Thanks!
Thanks for getting in touch,
We have vague plans to allow sites to embed Rapportive in the future, though it’s likely to be a while before that happens.
I’ll keep you in the loop,
Conrad

@Michael Keplinger: There are competitors (which I won't name here) that we are using in our app, but we would love to switch to using Rapportive instead.

Hi, is there any update on this? What I would really like, is to query rapportive via API and use the data in the profiles on my own application. Is this an option?

I would love to see this too, in many places -- CRM and PM tools, and live chat tools like SnapEngage. It would be great if the solution could be something easily integrated with other tools, and maybe even considering a Chrome or Firefox addon that could detect information in any webapp/page and show info on hovering that address.

I agree! The ability to embed Rapportive as a widget would be great. I'd like to add it to ContactUsPlus. Thanks.

I've voted but also wanted to clarify how I would like to use an API you expose. I have a service that aggregates a user's friends/contacts from several social networks. Rather than have my users manually merge contacts from the networks they link, I'd like to use info from Rapportive to automatically merge their contacts. So I'd be looking to search Rapportive for contacts based on social network identifiers (Facebook object ID, twitter username, Google email address, etc) depending on what I've imported, get back their Rapportive profile to cross-reference those identifiers, identify contacts to be merged and automatically merge them.

I'd really like this too. It would be like Gravatar on steroids. I'd pay to use it. Send an email, get structured info back.
