    I'm not sure what you mean.

    If your idea is to display the search results in the sidebar automatically (without having to press a button/click a link), then it would definitely have to be optional, otherwise I'd feel like I'm intruding in someone´s life every time I check the mail (also, I think it would be too distracting and I'd end up wasting time checking links)

    If you mean to display the results in the sidebar once the button/link is used, I'd have to say no. If I use that option is because I want full details on someone and the little space in the sidebar is not enough to display all the results.

    Of course you could also make 'Show the results of Google Search in sidebar' optional and let the user choose.
