Raplet for Insightly
How about building a raplet for Insightly that would extract information from that CRM and present it to the user.
Hi Franck,
That’s a pretty nice idea :). Do you have strong ideas about what information should be extracted?

As it stands Insightly does not provide such information as "Tasks by salesperson by week" or Numbers of calls, meetings, visits summarized for sales manager to review. A system for extracting such data would make Insightly much more valuable to our growing company.

Hi Conrad,
The HighRise raplet is an excellent reference implementation. If the Insightly one were developed to have feature parity, that would be fantastic,

I was thinking this would be good too, just letting me know that I have notes or tasks for this contact would be a good start I guess

Rapportive gets what other CRM don't seem to, we need to stay in Google and overlay services rather than navigating away or as Google evolves we won't see/stay current and fluent.
Currently I pay Solve360 for services that take me away from Google, and I don't like that. I need to keep my Google skills current, not learn another interface. So I am hesitant to fully engage Solve360 where it pulls me away.
I see rapportive showing recent e-mails, calendar events, and phone calls in the contacts view on the right margin, same as in mail. I see Google services and lightly connected silo's that require navigating away and duplication at times. I see Rapportive as a way of strengthening those connections and providing better gui interconnection between silo's, and avoiding duplication and navigation away. .

Well, Insightly is a CRM so it would be nice to surface contact details as well as recent activity stored in the system. I've seen other requests for CRMs like Salesforce, Zoho and Capsule. I think they are already raplets for Salesforce and TinyCRM out there.
Maybe you can create a standard display template for all CRMs and just code to the specific API for the backend....
Plus once you have the ability to store data into Google contacts directly from the Rapportive UI, you could extend that to the CRM raplets. That would be very cool ;)
