Support Android
Perhaps Rapportive could work on Android phones. What do people think it should do?

Where would you best add value? a) the gmail app b) the mobile gmail browser c) google contacts. Xobni/Startr and Gist have gone for their own contacts management app. I have an HTC Desire which has its own contacts app which links to facebook and twitter so you can view a contacts twitter or facebook status before sending an email. Nothing there for incoming email.
So my proposal would be to have two features
1. add facility to google contacts to link and hence view contact's status in facebook and twitter and to see their details on LinkedIn
2. whilst in gmail (browser based) to touch an email address and have option to view twitter or facebook or G+ status or their linkedin details.an alternative would be to run your own email app with contacts to include the above 2 points.

The android market could use an app like this. Xobni/Startr and Gist are both there and I find your service to be relevant and viable. (I used to use Etacts and Silentale and if you go way back, Act! and Goldmind) With so many social media option out there, contact management apps is still anyones market.

Please start supporting the Android OS. I use my phone alot and Rapportive would tie together info where I spend the most time. Keep up the hard work.

I think Rapportive should have access to edit specific contact details, numbers, emails, twitter accounts, personal photos ... etc. Many Android phones do that but I think it's a bit unintelligent. Rapportive should give us a choice what which name, email, number, photo we want for our contact.
Native Android syncing only takes what that contact prefers. For example, I took a great photo of my brother and made it as his contact photo. Few days later, I synced my phone with Facebook it automatically changed his photo to whatever he had on Facebook. -

Looking at a contact via the contact-list in an Android phone, below the contact there are some buttons (and also an 'information'-area). This could be expanded by a 'rapportive'-area and/or a button to edit that data.
That can also link to a number of other 'shouts'..Great product!

Yes, please support android! I'm on an android tablet, and I think it could easily provide enough screen space for Rapportive to work a bit like it does in a browser.
I don't use the Android native Gmail app, because I find it offers a very limited functionality. Surprisingly, gmail works better via a mobile browser.
So, why not integrate with mobile browsers first? I'm currently using Dolphin, and would definitely consider switching to Opera or Firefox mobile if it could run Rapportive.
As a second step, and this is my dream-come-true, rapportive would integrate with Contacts.
Thanks!

Is there any intention to build an app similar to ConnectIn?

It would be awesome to see information from Rapportive when I'm browsing through my Google Contacts in Android.
