Support Android
Perhaps Rapportive could work on Android phones. What do people think it should do?

Great idea. For me it's the best behavior for rapportive

Not sure why this would be a good idea. Rapportive should be able to add information to the persons contact manager, and the contact manager should be able to replicate broadly (as configured). Having a standalone app on a small-ish screen that's basically a replacement for the Contact Manager? Not sure why that would be of any use.
You can have Rapportive on a tablet today through GMail in the browser.

Same as on desktop. Show info from the facebook, linkedin & twitter account. Possibility to connect immediatly.
Since I have a Asus Transformer Prime I almost don't use a pc or laptop anymore. So as long as rapportive doesn't support Android I can not use it.

I'm with Netscr1be: "provide the same functionality in Gmail it does on Windows... Rapportive should be front and centre - the main contact management app on my phone pulling incredible vast levels of intelligence about my contacts from all over"

It makes sense to me that I should have rapportive anywhere I have gmail.

Let me add that since I posted my comment here, I got an email asking to confirm my email address, and if I confirm, your email says you'll spam me until I opt out. You got the default backwards and that's just not right. Please fix.

Well I read your announcement on my Android, went to the app store and didn't find you, so you lost one user right here. How could you have any doubt?

Similar implementation to gmail, although in typical screen layout a frame to the bottom would probably work best... Perhaps a sticky tab based pull out like linkedin does on top now.

Netscr1be is right on. Rapporative should answer the phone, prep you on people you're meeting, etc. Could be fantastic!

Browsed most of the comments and pretty much everyone has missed the best place for Rapportive to rock more than it already does. Yes it has to provide the same functionality in Gmail it does on Windows but you folks have to lose the add-on inferiority complex.
Rapportive should be front and centre - the main contact management app on my phone pulling incredible vast levels of intelligence about my contacts from all over.
Knowing how well Rapportive works on my Windows box I would happily pony up in advance for an Android client.
Give me the chance and I will definitely vote with my dough.
How about you other folks? Show them the money!

I definitely think that this would work well as an Android app, particularly as it can be hard to find a app that connects all types of social media seamlessly. The easiest one so far is HootSuite but as a Gmail user, the functionality of it all in one place would sway me :-) Gets my vote!
