Use rapportive engine to help eradicate phishing by allowing users to authenticate legitimate email
When users get an e-mail from customerservice@usbank.com or discship@netflix.com users could click a button to say this is a legitimate e-mail or a different button to warn that the e-mail address is bogus or questionable. Collecting enough of these would allow rapportive to help weed out phishing attacks.
Thanks Steve, interesting idea! A lot of people are spending a lot of effort on figuring out how to verify whether an email is authentic, so I’m hoping there will be a good solution for it soon. But it’s something we should keep in mind.
Best,
Martin

Relying on users to authenticate anything is risky. It could be useful as part of an authentication effort but shouldn't be the sole or even primary source metric.
