Fix rapportive support with the new preview pane
The new preview pane is awesome in gmail, but rapportive doesn't work with it!
Hi guys,
Just to let you know that Rapportive now works with the preview pane, so you no longer need to choose between the two :).
Thanks for waiting!
Conrad
P.S. Now this idea is “completed” you can re-use the votes you assigned to it — so please do let us know what we should work on next.

that is a shame...labs features can last for a year labelled 'labs'...it is a nice new feature and Google does support it with it's own contacts pane (which is far from as good as yours).
The setup can change, but the space they left on the side (at least for the vertical split) is screaming "rapportive come here"! I suppose they won't change that part since they use it for their own pane? -

Please do fix asap - this would be email nirvana!

I will stay with no preview for a while. To be honest - not 100% sure about the preview pane. I use the other lab feature you can right click from the email list to preview the email - works great for me - I don't need a preview pane that eats almost half of the window space.

What would be nice if you could implement an option of switching to a horizontal Rapportive sidebar for the vertical split preview pane for people who work on 4:3 screens.
You can take cue from Outlook 2010's social feature.

Honestly, the preview pane needs a lot of polish. Looking at it closer, it's downright funky looking:) Even if Rapportive were to operate within it, and as much as I want a preview pane, I don't think I would use it in it's current form

@Conrad. Makes sense. Thanks for listening.

I agree the new Gmail preview feature 9in Labs is great but Rapportive currents doesn't preview sidebar information when the prieview pane is active :(

@Craig ditto. It is pretty easy to switch between the preview pane and normal display mode. For now, that is my workaround.

I'm encountering the same issue. The new Gmail preview pane is great and I plan to use it from now on. Hoping that Rapportive will issue a fix soon, otherwise I may have to remove it.

should be a great feature, and it will prepare R for panels when out of Labs.

I've always wanted a preview pane in Gmail but, not at the expense of losing Rapportive. Bad trade:)
