explain the permissions associated with logging in via Gmail.

I'm leery of this one specifically -

View, manage, and permanently delete your mail in Gmail
Create, update, and delete labels
Compose and send new email

I am currently not using Rapportive due to my concerns over this permission.

    Very effective way to get people off free service. Unfortunately, collateral damage - hard to trust a company that makes this move. even harder to want to give them money. maybe what they really want is a permanent vacation.

    Me too. Now it needed new permissions to "modify data on 4 websites." I could not find a more detailed explanation before deciding to accept, so I removed the plugin. Too bad. It was fun.
