Support Google Profiles for Google Apps users.
I have a "transitioned" Google Apps account, so my Google Apps account looks more like a regular Gmail account. Everything works perfectly, but my Google Profile is not www.google.com/profile/myname but rather www.google.com/a/mydomainname/myname. Rapp doesn't like it. Can you check this out?

Choose default email address or avatar.
After you guys implement the 'email claim' feature to allow multiple email addresses per profile, could you guys add the option to choose a 'default email' for people to reply to when viewing your profile?
This also got me thinking about the issue of gravatars -- I have multiple gravatars for different email addresses... I was going to ask if you guys could give us the option to choose which gravatar to use for the profile, but I suppose if you just add the option to choose a 'default email' for the profile, we can go change it manually.
7 votesHi Nick,
We’ll probably structure the claiming email feature so that you implicitly merge other emails into your default account. This won’t give you the ability to change what the default is, but, now you’ve suggested it, maybe we should have that too :).
Thanks for the idea,
Conrad

Add support from email from friendfeed.com
FriendFeed is a social aggregation service. The comments arrive from username@friendfeed.com, it could be parsed and a lot of social info retrieved.

allow me to add a photo to someone's profile by drag and drop
Allow drag and drop functionality for display pictures
7 votesHi Budd,
That’s a really interesting idea — just an easy for you to make your sidebar better :). It will be quite a bit of work on our end, but this sounds like something we want to look into eventually.
Thanks again

Hi Joe,
That’s a pretty good idea :). The main problem that we have with Internet Explorer is that it doesn’t support some of the exciting new features in HTML, so we’d have to find complicated, and less-good workarounds to try and make Rapportive work.
That said, we know a lot of people have no choice about using it; so it’s likely we’ll add support in the future.

Add Grooveshark
User profile format http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/user/username/1234567
7 votesHi Adam,
I’ve made it so that you can add your Grooveshark profile to Rapportive manually.
I’ve not yet added automatic searching for Grooveshark profiles. If you felt like building a Raplet, that would be awesome ;).

Allow users to add phone numbers to their public Rapportive profile.
It would be great to allow users to add phone numbers to their public Rapportive profile, to allow others to contact you if you're not already in their Google contacts.
7 votesThanks Glenn, we’re thinking about good ways of doing this. Many people regard their phone numbers as fairly sensitive information, so we want to be careful to only show them when you really want them to be visible to other people.

Visual clue for rapportive profile edited by the user
Allow a visual clue to distinguish whether the profile of the person that emailed me is what information they chose to present in their profile or what public information rapportive was able to gather, possibly without their knowledge.
7 votesHi Hristo,
Another great idea, thank you!

Show any upcoming holidays in the sidebar
It would be useful to know, when emailing someone, whether or not they're likely to be on holiday soon.
Not only could you wish them happy-holidays, you'd also know how likely they are to reply to your emails!

Thanks Drew, good idea. Most of our raplets are made by the vendors themselves, since they have the best understanding of what their users want. Can I suggest that you get in touch with InfusionSoft and ask them to make a raplet? We’re more than happy to help them with the process.
Best, Martin

Hi Michael,
This is a great idea! We already do it for Twitter, so it would make a lot of sense to do it for Google Plus as well.
Thanks!

Bug? When composing in detached window rapportive window becomes obtrusive
Rapportive sidebar should be disabled when email thread is opened in "new window" using icon next to print icon at top. Right now it comes right in the middle of text and edit box.
7 votesHi Harit,
This shouldn’t be happening — the next time you notice it, could you please copy and paste the address into an email to supportive@rapportive.com.
Thanks,
Conrad

allow me to change the width and location so that it fits on my screen
I need to have my inbox show folders on the far left, messages next to that, and message previews after that. Unfortunately for me, that seems to push the Rapportive add-in off of the screen. (Part of it shows, but not all.)
I haven't found a way to reduce the width of the preview pane, so my next idea is to drag the Rapportive add-in to the left. I COULD drag the other screens (folders, messages) to the left, but that would narrow them too much for me.
7 votesHi Chris,
Thanks for the idea, it’s a tricky business fitting everything in a limited space! :)
Do you think it would be better or worse if we reduced the size of the preview pane to make sure Rapportive always fitted on screen?

Display the Rapportive layer beneath Gmail's scrollbar
Because I use a browser window set to a particular size, the Rapportive layer at the side of my Gmail window sits on top of the Gmail scrollbar, which prevents me from easily scrolling down the window.
Please set Rapportive so that it sits beneath Gmail's scrollbar!
7 votesHi James,
This is definitely something we need to fix! I’ll update this story when we have some progress,
Thanks in advance for your patience,

integrate with Trip Advisor business pages (for hotels, etc.)
I suggest you integrate with Trip Advisor business pages (for hotels, etc.) It would be great for hotels to be able to see what type of reviews future (or past) guests might be saying about their hotel or other trips.

Rapportive in Google Calendar (gcal)
I would absolutely love to be able to hover over event attendees or participant email addresses (in the event view) and see the Rapportive information from the email addresses in Google Calendar.
It would be very helpful to see recent posts and if they're already a connection for some good meeting small talk :)

Rapportive Invisible on Firefox, Inaccessible on Chrome
I have Rapportive installed on both browsers. Today, if I enter Gmail via Firefox, Rapportive does not appear on the screen. In Chrome, it appears, but I get the following message:
"Rapportive offline
We can't contact the Rapportive servers right now.
Sorry – we've got more people trying to use Rapportive than we can handle right now. Great minds think alike!
We're busy adding more capacity, so we'll be back shortly."

bug: rapportive not validating my Linkedin account
When I click the linked in connect button, I'm getting an Error message stating, "Sorry we're not able to validate your authorization. This is probably due to a network failure, or remote server error. Please try again in a few minutes."
..I've tried in a few minutes...and a few minutes after that . . . for the last two weeks. Is there something I can fix to get the app connected to my Linkedin account?
Thanks!
